Lol, he’s only 32 and leading the league in goals. He’s not busting into retirement, he’s a guy ready to help a team fight for multiple cups ... something he’s not gunna be able to do in Uptown.

But Malkin has always been at least a PPG player. Whereas Ovy hasn’t.

Malkin though has been a PPG every year except 1, whereas Ovy has been around the 70 point mark the past 2 years. You're right though in that Ovy plays a full season basically every year...begs the question, would Derek have gotten Malkin cheaper had it gone to an auction. Fortunately for Derek, Geno's been healthy, so he doesn't really care.

Coming from a guy who says dman are volotile and do my hold much value is priceless.

Especially when we’re talking about a dman on pace for 29 points.
