If you have a extra protection spot, hear me out.

Step 1:
I will trade you a player for a pick just prior to the protection cut off.

Step 2:
After the protect date, (i.e. at 11am next Wednesday) you will put that player on the trade block....but I will limit the downside and I will offer up:

1) The pick you gave me in Step 1.
2) A late 4th this year, which will replace the 5th rounder you otherwise would have received but keeping 1 less keeper (ie. 13 keepers vs 14 keepers)
3) and I'll throw in my 4th rounder in 2022.

If you're a teams thinking about keeping 13 guys, let me know.

Do we really need to go through this to accomplish a pick for protect spot swap? C’mon. I haven’t seen something so complicated since I designed SP-1.
