Blakester’s got a counter in the works. Ovy’s gotta go home. It just wouldn’t be right.

Re: Ovauction

Middlestats isn't anywhere near Patrick. Ridiculous. That offer does not provide a long term gem that a team like the HBs need.

Re: Ovauction

The #1 prospect outside the NHL isn't a long term gem? Keller and Barzal were 1/2 on last years list. Dunno if I agree with that.

It sounds like most of your Mittlestadt v. Patrick argument is based on where they landed in the NHL draft.

Because that's always the indicator of future success.

Re: Ovauction

Why exactly is Mittelstadt not close to Patrick? Seriously, what on earth has Patrick done in the last 2 years to be on this golden pedestal? Sure he’s a top prospect. But he’s easily comparable to other top prospects. He’s not elite or generational or anything close like that.

Exactly. It was a RNH type of year, and Patrick didn't even go 1st overall. Meh.

Yeah, but Keller was drafted by the Tycoons, so it's different.

Mittelstadt was MVP at the World Juniors, best forward at the tourney... so I guess it's short-sighted to think he's going to be good over the long haul, huh?

Anyway, I've put out what I put out there. I figure it's good enough to stand on its own and I don't need to run down other teams' offers or players to make mine seem better. Evaluated on its own merits, I think it's pretty good and provides the Heartbreakers with scoring now in Coyle, who's only 25, and a great future with Konecny, Mittelstadt and a 1st rounder. He can phase those pieces in nicely for a rebuild.

Why because you had a picture with him? He only got hype because he was a local kid.

Because he was...2017 having no top nuggets was a widely held belief. Doesn't mean it's going to end up that way, but, that was the consensus among scouts.

Patrick has been a known commodity for ages and IS playing in the NHL. He will be an NHL player for a long time.

Middlestat is a Nylander type prospect to me. Flashy, but can't mustre a PPG in the NCAA? Or do a pull up...when he gets here, he might be good he might be shit...he's just another prospect.

Whereas, NP, is an elite prospect.

Where they were drafted reflects all of this...

I just laugh when guys somewhoe overthink things becaused one played inteh WJs and one plays inteh NHL.

And you're going to deal Ovy for a maybe NHler?

I would never do that.

What has he done? lol The last two years he's been the top prospect. That's what he's done. 100 pt as a16 year ol in teh WHL, WHL MVP, he's been touted for ages.

Middlestats is a Necas.
